ADHD & Executive Function Coaching Services

  • Does your child or teen have trouble tracking, planning out, and completing assignments? How about with chores at home or non-school tasks?
  • Do they often lose things? Is their room a mess?
  • Does your child or teen procrastinate with getting things done?
  • Do you as an adult struggle with tracking work tasks, things at home, or lose items easily?
  • Are you having trouble keeping track of your child’s activities as well as balancing your stuff and theirs?

Many individuals with ADHD and/or executive functioning deficits (i.e., trouble with time management, organization, etc.) need assistance with learning how to better manage their time, keep their materials organized, & more. At the same time, many individuals with these issues experience low self-esteem, resistance to change, low frustration tolerance, or other additional difficulties that impede their ability to effectively manage these skills.

What Does a Typical Coaching Session Look Like?

Executive function coaching is all about reducing overwhelm, building sustainable habits, and creating a reliable system for managing life’s demands. While the very first session is often dedicated to setting up a personalized task and event management system, ongoing sessions focus on real-world strategy, accountability, and skill-building.

Whether you are a student navigating academics or an adult balancing work and life, here is what we typically cover in a session:

1. The Dashboard Check & System Sync
  • Aligning the Planner: We start by opening your primary organization system (whether it’s a school planner, digital calendar, or project manager) to ensure it reflects your current reality.
  • Triage & Progress Review: We review current performance indicators—such as school portal grades and missing assignments for students, or unread emails, physical mail, and task backlogs for adults.
  • Accountability Check-In: We look back at the goals set during the previous week, celebrate wins, and objectively analyze any roadblocks that got in the way.
2. Mapping Out the Week Ahead
  • Task Prioritization: We look at everything on your plate and separate the urgent “fires” from the high-value, long-term goals so you know exactly where to start.
  • Breaking Down Large Projects: Whether it is a multi-step research paper or a complex workplace/household project, we break intimidating tasks down into bite-sized, actionable next steps.
  • Time-Blocking & Scheduling: We map out a realistic schedule for the week ahead, ensuring there is dedicated time for school or work, household or family commitments, and personal well-being.
3. Building Sustainable Routines & Habits
  • Morning & Evening Anchors: We design predictable routines to help you start your day with focus and wind down effectively at night to support restorative sleep.
  • Managing Distractions: We identify your personal “focus thieves” (like phones, gaming, or social media) and implement practical boundaries and environmental tweaks to protect your time.
  • Overcoming Procrastination: We teach proven strategies to lower the mental friction of starting tedious, overwhelming, or emotionally draining tasks.
  • Energy Management: We help you understand your personal energy cycles, learning how to pace yourself through the week to maintain momentum and prevent burnout.

Our Goal: We don’t just help you clear your to-do list for the week. We equip you with the self-reflection, customized systems, and cognitive tools you need to manage your academic, professional, and personal life with confidence.
